I have heard that nearly all Cubans sold in the DR are fakes regardless of where bought. May still be decent smokes though.

Couldn't you dissect one and check what there like might be some average long filler with a cuban band on the hike up the price

If someone had been on holiday and bought some Cuban cigars in the DR would they likely be fakes ?
The have also bought DR cigars at the same shop
The cigars in question are RYJ churchills bought 10 years ago

I had no idea there would be such a huge amount of knock of cigars around. What's the most faked Cuban?

I had thought that simply because it may be the most well known brand?

All I know is that if I was a counterfeiter, I would be making Monte No2, No4, Party D4 and Hoyo Epi No2's

I would be knocking out cuelebras, they wouldn't event have to be that well rolled yet the novelty factor would push them off my upturned crate in the Dominican sunshine

                          Aye. The esplendido it is.
So counterfeited that people don't know what real is anymore. They hook themselves off that and the ignorance of the masses to continue selling.

I would have expected it to be Montes, aren't they the best selling brand?

Yes PJ, but they are cheaper & the tourists trying to pick a bargin are looking for maximum return. They might only dble their money on the Montes but could treble it on the Cohibas. Just need to find some punter who knows even less about Havanas than they do. Theres plenty out there!
