I reply to this at the risk of a) coming across as a bickering schoolgirl and b) offending cigarmo, but this is how I see things - Katash asked whether it was acceptable to cut the cap, and that with a razor blade. His question wasn't answered but was rather turned into an opportunity to to tell him his King Eddies weren't worth the the effort. Katash is a new member to the forum and no one knows whether he has the bunce to afford Cubans or not - and he might like KEs.
There just appears to be a disharmony between the warm welcome he received when introducing himself and the less-than friendly and encouraging response to his query on cutting a cap.
Cigarmo, please don't take offence at this, I understand your post, and that snobbery wasn't your aim, but Katash' lack of response would suggest he wasn't very impressed with the replies he received.

Guys dont worry about it, I know KE's are considered low-end and when my replacement humidor arrives after Christmas (first one was delivered damaged) I will be posting requests for advice on what to stock it with, but due to the cost involved in purchasing Cubans vs purchasing KE's I doubt I will stop smoking them altogether.

My question was answered a few posts back by someone - razors will do just fine, and I posted a 'thanks guys' afterwards.

I enjoyed the KE I smoked, I've certainly smoked worse cigars, a guantanamera and a la rica maduro spring to mind!

No offence taken Mr Cigar, To clear up any missunderstanding my post was ment to be funny I tried to point this out by putting a tongue out smiley at the end.

As I have said before smoke what ever you like and makes you happy.

Katash I do apologise if I made you feel unwelcome that is not what i intended.

Now lets all have a cigar
