Chris, My daughter has been a uni student for 3yrs 7 is into her 4th, her addiction is shoes. The advice I give her would work for you (& probably be as welcome), either buy (& smoke) less so you can afford better quality or earn more so oyu can afford to indulge more often.


I can appreciate even with a job, buying cigars inthe UK is very expensive & there just aren't any real cheap good sticks, at least none that I have found. Dominican bundles of 25 in clear cellophane, JLP line of Country Havanas aren't for everyone but you could try them. Monte puros, haven't tried these myself but they look better than the minis. Keep studying & look forward to the graduate salary, when you'll be afford to move up the quality scale a bit more.

Now now, you should try the Oliva G Cameroon at ?3.75. I would most certainly consider it a good stick regardless of the price.

Also cgars ltd do there own nicaraguan selection for 7ish quid for a robusto which is a nice smoke

It's easier for me to buy a few quality sticks at a time and stock up rather than spending a lot at once.

i know they guy you mean. I've checked cgars but i honestly got overwhelmed buy the sheer volume of cigars available

Hi Chris , I think it wise to try a few NCs to start with as you develop your own taste and generally don't need ageing as many of the Habanos do, ive tried the Inka blend and for the money not a bad smoke I think the Red label may be the better ? With the R&Js give them a gentle squeeze and see if they compress slightly then spring back this will give an indication of their condition. The dust maybe bloom [good]. Try one and let us know , note the flavours and the draw. Best wishes.

I use my smoking shop all the time cant fault them always more than helpful, I have not used the mail order service as they are local to me.
