Watched this a few months ago and thought it was quite interesting:
One of the factors at play in terms of enjoyment of strong or subtle tastes is apparently the concentration of taste buds you have on your tongue. Maybe this explains why there are some on the board who can extract lots of different individual flavours from a cigar, and the rest of us that struggle with 1 or 2!
