Not all are made with the best tobacco, and not all the vitola within the individual ranges are made with the best tobacco, but in the main those marked with an asterisk are made with better chosen tobaccos, and it is that, not the strength of the tobacco which governs the ageing outcome.

Oddly the few new HDM epi 2s I've had recently have all been pretty bland and harsh except for one from Cgars which was light and very tasty. If you're ordering any HDM singles from Cgars I'd ask them to give you the box date when you place your order as they sell them very quickly (ergo they can't check the box date a few weeks later).

Are you sure those cigars are notalready aged? Uncle Joe is alluding to my reason for asking. Sinceyou bought individual sticks, do you know the age of the box? Yourcigars may already have plenty of age and be begging you to smokethem.

That is one of the problems with buyingindividual cigars. Sometimes we lose the ability to see the exact ageof the cigar. If they were my cigars, I would probably light one upand enjoy the cigar. If it tasted great, I would schedule the time toenjoy the next one.

Yeah, will use MSS in the future after my visit, obviously popular sticks like MC 4's,sig 2's rotate quicker but the less popular like the boli gigantes i got could have plenty of age on and like you say simon is happy to check the box dates which he keeps round the top if the humi, where as I suppose cgars have a much higher turnover thus reducing the chance of aging

I read a tasting note on Olivas (yes I know they're not Cuban) that said smoke immediately and don't age because of the thin wrapper, could that be a factor here?
