Prompted by an earlier thread, I tried to remember my first ever box of cigars...to no avail..
I do remember them being bought in Dusseldorf as a gift for my father..or rather replacements for what I'd smoked from his cabinet..
My earliest recollection of receiving a box was later for my 21st, for which I received a Cajon of Davidoff No.1's & a gold Colibri lighter..
I think that was another hint from my Father to smoke my own although he told me, at the time my, Mother had chosen them solely because of the name David-off ..& he was unaware of if they were any good....
In hindsight..it would have been nice to know the future of those particular cigars, perhaps then I would not have handed them out like sweeties to children...
