And there will be more, and Simon is very good and quick at providing box dates if you ask him.

Thanks again for the input guys. Having sampled them all I very much enjoyed the Party Short, Por Laranaga PC and the Ramone Allones SCC (roughly in that order!). On the whole, I found all to be stronger smokes than the Cohiba (and better for it), with more and stronger flavours from the start - particularly the Party Short. Have ordered a couple more of each to see if my initial views are confirmed. Added to that are a Trinidad Reyes and a San Cristobal El Principe for more variety.

The only one I wasn't keen on was the Boliviar PC - it wasn't the strength so much as the flavour. Couldn't quite put my finger on it but it seemed rougher and less refined than the others.

The Siglo 2 is also my top favourite cigar, not only because of price but mainly because of its fantastic flavours and balance. As alternatives, try the Hoyo Du Roi and Hoyo Epicure No. 1 as well as the Montecristo Petit Edmundo. Going up the price range, the Siglo 4 is very similar to the 2, but bigger in every sense. I would also add that all Cohibas benefit greatly from some ageing, say at leats six months or more.

most bolivars don't hit there stride for a couple of years so don't write the whole marca off.

It did occur to me that I should have ordered another to confirm/refute my initial thoughts. Naturally, this thought came to me after I'd placed the order!

I noticed in all the recommendations that there were no RyJ's in there. Given that there are several sticks in the range at that price point, why no love for them?
