With so many fellow members traveling around the world,
I just wondered if the majority made use and took advantage of the cheaper rates from outside of the UK.
I totally agree that there are some highly reputable sellers here in London.
If i were travelling abroad, I know I'd be tempted to purchase cigars at a cheaper rate (from authentic sellers).
    Thanks.

I think most of us would/will/do buy when abroad ...when the price/quality/authenticity ratio is better than here.

I've not bought a box in years but am planning on nipping to Paris on the Eurostar when I get round to needing more cigars - if I buy two boxes I can end up hopefully around ?100 better off, even taking the train ticket into account.

not always the case, ive had a few fake RyJs and Cohibas myself, gifted by friends, knew they were fake, but paid pittance for them so they thought what the hell. quite nice smokes, wouldnt mind trying others. if they are super cheap and taste nice, does it matter that they are fake?

Know why? Because the fakes here go for $100 - $450. And if you're on vacation and you wish to buy some good cohibas or ryjs, don't take up your allowance of 50 cigars to carry 25 fakies home.

To be honest, i've had some great fakes smoked too! And ones that are crafted terribly, i mash em up and smoke em in my pipe. I even flavour some with Cragganmore or Cognacs or what not. But mine was like 40 bucks on a beach so that's a "whatever moment." But sometimes, the boxes actually look so damn real so you're tricked into buying 200 dollar fakies that you THINK are real. It's dangerous territory, that.

Would love to support my local cigar shop. Lovely old guy, great stories, always welcoming but absolutely shite prices. Lucky if i buy 10 singles a year from him.

I would even like to say that when I do have more wages etc I would buy more from the UK. As much as I like the cigar brotherhood etc I, personally would not think twice about buying larger orders from abroad. Saving literally hundreds of pounds is a no brainer.

Also, living in Scotland and not being able to herf in the shop itself has pretty much ruined any sort of BOTL bonding whilst buying.

When I'm away I buy from local retailers. Much like monkey, I like finding things Not yet had the funds to buy boxes, but always seek out REs and LEs or aged sticks that might be kicking about.

Duck up to Inveraray mate, I'd happily herf with you, while sampling a few of our 85 different malts!!

I'm afraid as much as I like supporting UK business it's a no-brainer not to buy when abroad. I 'stocked' up on four boxes recently during a trip to Spain, it saved approx ?750 - if you can do it!

Gulp!! (couldn't find the appropriate icon!)
I've never had one. Are they really that good? Not sure whether they'd be wasted on me!

I've only ever had one, a couple weeks ago just after my birthday,
and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It's the one in my avatar

I loved it to be honest

A lot of money, but money well spent 'in my books'....

These will be my celebratory cigars. Got a handful of other sticks to keep me distracted

                                ......hopefully
