  • It's Nearly Raining in my Humidor

Humidor is at a raging 77%. Have read about these heartfelt beads but they seem to be only available from America.
If these HF beads are spoken of so highly why are they not readily available in the UK?
What are other folk using to regulate humidity levels if not HF beads?

Simple solution actually: just open the humidor and let the stormcloud escape

Remember, if you JUST charged it, give it a few days to calm down. Whenever my cuban huimdor is first charged, it jumps to 72 and then steadies at 65 after a while.
But if it's been a while since you've charged it...... You tried Bodeva packs? Some 65s would be great. Also, are you using Propylene Glycol solution or just water? If you're using distilled water, use PG instead. If you're already using PG, get some Xikar beads or what not instead of the sponge.
I've manged to actually tweak the pedantic humidity down a tad by adding more 100% Propylene Glycol to the already 50%-50% solution. With some equilibrium calculations, i can actually calculate how much to use!!

But that's all i've got for now.. Anyone else mates?? C'mon. Don't be shy!

Don't forget it's quite hot at the moment so this can affect your humidity. Try moving it to a cooler location.

Murray-Frame & Love solution and a sponge puck.

Like i said, there's your problem. Upgrade from a puck and you'll have less issues overall. Beads and virtually everything is better.... Beads are made to maintain a certain humidity level, so temperature affects it a tad less than with a puck.
The solution is relatively the same for everyone whether it be xikar, brigham, or just Yirmeyahu's Solution from BC.
