  • Bringing back Cigars / Eurotunnel

    Hi everyone,

If I drive to Europe and back via Eurotunnel, how many cigars can I bring back legally?

    Many thanks,
    Simon

I think as much as you like as long as you can prove your not selling them for profit and its for personal use.

I would say what you can carry in a bag rather than filling your car boot as a guide.

Just checked and its 200 cigars or 400 cigarillos

Bringing in goods for personal use when you travel to the UK from abroad - types of tax and duty, duty free, EU and non-EU arrivals, banned and restricted goods.

As many as you want as long as they're for personal use which HMRC define as 200.

If you can justify more than 200 then you are free to bring them back. Over 200 and expect questions.

I travel all the time on the Eurostar & have never had my cigar stash questioned, then again think 100 is the most I have ever brought over. As Euro price aren't that cheap, 200 should be more than enough. I do carry a list of my cigar stock & photo of cave so I can 'prove' I am a collector & not a likely to be selling for profit; shudder at the very word!
