That is probably the most brainless thing i've heard. However, don't worry. People there lobby to change history to herstory in order to guard woman's rights. The same amount of people probably lobbied for this smoking shite......

I personally think that that quote is just wishful thinking. I'm afraid that the majority would take many peoples rights away with a vote. There are some things that should never be voted on. This subject for one, but I often think what would've happened if the public was allowed to vote on civil rights back in the '50s? Majority should have nothing to do with it but they have elections on gay marriage, smoking or even how large a soda you can buy. No, logic has gone from civilization in the U.S. anyway.

If they ban guns do you really think the criminals are not going to get any? No, watching this guy loose in Boston right now I'm thinking if I was holed up in my house because he's out there, I'd feel a lot safer with my guns sitting besides me. Sorry. (which, by the way, as I am watching it live, he's surrounded or dead).

Here here. However, there comes the fragile question: who decides what shouldn't be allowed be to voted on? In the end, itll have to be voted on some way or another, whether by a county, a state, the senate/house, or even the bloody UN.

I stand by my statement, there are some things that should never be voted on. How many kids you can have? What you can eat, etc. Nothing wrong with voting on how many kids we're going to help you financially with or something like that but there are rights that the only reason they are voted on is for someone to take them away. I know someone is going to but it doesn't make it right.

How many kids you can have isnt voted on. Its set by the Chinese Communist government
But seriously, theres a fine line there. Somethings are far out of reach. IE What time adults shall be home everynight. What you can eat.
There are some things that are definitely in reach. IE the leader of a country. Tax limits. Diversion of tax money to transit.
Then, unfortunately, there is the grey area. Abortion, ability of stores to sell various items, etc.

However, i am with you on the freedom thing. How much freedom are we willing to give away in the name of the false senses of security and health.......

OMG! Are they really banning guns in our neighbor to the North (USA)?

And who the hell are "they" and what gives "them" the right to ban guns?

                Boy, Bag boy

Haha! Next thing you know "they" will want to ban guns in our beloved State of Mind, Mexico.

Hey RJ! To late, I'm afraid. Guns are already restricted in Mx.

To Hell with guns....I say "Ban the Bomb!"

Yupp. Tried and failed. Despite a 90% percent in favour. Obama was so cheezed off it was hilarious.

Also, Juggler is right. Your bloody gun laws are ridiculous........ people would probably br safer with looser gun laws there...

I think the 90% was in favor of background checks, not banning guns. I could be wrong, however.

                    After all I'm just a simple Mexicant💃

Well, you can't 100% ban guns. But it was a crucial step in barring some people to get them legally. Also to place many restrictions on mags and calibers and whatnot.
Just basically toughening the ability to get guns overall.

But I can say the same, After all, i'm just a simple Canadian

What are the gun-control laws like up there?

All depends where you live. If you're in the rural areas, as long as your neighbours like you, you can hoist an unregistered elephant gun and no one would bat an eye. We've got too much land and too little people up here, so no one ends up caring....
The city's a tad safer, but not by much. Everything has to be registered. Background checks are a must. Automatics are illegal. But you can get a gun at 16, so it's pretty bloody lenient here.

It's not as tight a shift as Mexico's, but not as loose as America's. I like it here

A lot of people do, apparently. Too cold for a warm-blooded lad like me, however.🌞

My old physics teacher thought otherwise. He now owns a farm up here after teaching a good decade in Mexico.

                              He's where I learned:
                              Anillo en el Puro,
                              Something something Pendejo.
