  • The Mods will most likely ban me for this .... but

I don't think they operate anywhere but HK .... and how often do you see Cuban Dunhill on sale.

I don't even know if the place is for real, but maybe Monk will know if the wines are any good or not?

If you want to, you can.

It's greyer than grey but they don't seem to ship here, so I suppppose it's ok (I've done similar without thinking)!

    Would ya trust them though?

Only if I could get into the shop .... and take Mitch to inspect them, because I wouldn't know enough and we're talking the price of a small car. The prices though are in-line with Christie's and Mitch's auctions and HK is home to loads of wealthy Chinese BOTL, and they aren't fools.

This has probably been discussed in earlier topics and apologies I don't have time to search now but I wonder if we can have a sticky suggesting what to look out for for fake cigars. We could be lumbered with fakes in UK and unless you know what to look out for then you could be duped?

          Tut, tut. Lazy, lazy!

http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/fakes.htm it's not totally correct, but it's about what you need to know if you want to start rolling your own and passing them of as Cuban!

Interesting site, I can believe they exist over there after experiencing HK first hand in November last year, lots of stock kicking around of sticks you don't see much of over here. It was 6 HKD to the pound when I visited so *ouch* on those prices.

I can believe it too. We get first hand (stop banning valuable members) reports of Chinese businessmen/agents currently buying up all the aged stock they can in Switzerland, presumably this then ends up for sale in HK or Shanghai. But vintage Dunhill and Davidoff are very rare and usually found only in LCdH or places like Portmann or Gerard.

                    Chris was.

He's been seeing this happening. Large quantities of older boxes being bought in one go and then shipped to HK.

He ultimately just used this as a recruitment ground whilst slagging us off on the other forum, not behaviour we appreciate here. All these things seem to get 'forgotten' in the defense of everyone elsewhere and the negativity surrounding us. Everytime!

I think it fair to say Chris was very useful to some people here too. And OK he's done a bit of sledging, but so would you, so would I, if we got banned from anywhere. No one over on our side want's to see UKCF undermined, and Chris as far as I'm concerned is one of the most honest and obliging BOTL you're ever likely to come across, and his cigar knowledge is growing in leaps ... aren't too many people who can source and find boxes of Partagas Astorias.

It was pre-ban, as I said. So you don't really have a case I'm afraid.
