Solution to the final third being sour and terrible!

I wish to know all your opinions on a thing I just decided to do.
So the final third of a cigar seems to always overcook. You should all seem to know the problem when the sticks get to the final third or so. They burn and tickle your tongue and taste sour and commit genocides and other atrocities.
But I found a way to prevent this (or just get around it) from happening too much today. I was on a Partagas P2 today and found it over cooked when I had to relight the third. So what I decided to do was this:

I punched two holes. One on the front here, and one on the back of it. The best thing about these holes is that I can plug one or two with my fingers so I can control the flow here and there.
If I draw normally, it's a quite, nice, pleasant smoke. It's less dense and all, but the taste is there. Also it's not sour

A one puff per minute smoking rhythm and occasional purge throughout the smoke will keep the taste clean ... no need for holes or ventilation .... if there was, I'm sure there would be cigars that had them.

Plus, It's quite within the rules to let the cigar go when you're no longer enjoying it!

Well sometimes that does happen. But it just seemed like a cleaner smoke....
And well, i can't cut that until around the third third cause that hole would ruin the first and second third. haha

But yes yes, I normally do bin them when they're at the third... Just wanted to see if i can get aorund that.
