  • Bang for your Buck?

An often asked question perhaps..."best cigar for under a tenner?" "best & worst" and "your favourite go-to" etc. etc.

But I wonder what others feel is probably the best value cigar; the one that is perhaps consisent, reliable and delivers the most for the money (but not necessarily the cheapest!)? For instance, Romeo Short Churchill is one of the most memorable cigars I've smoked, but I've also had some Short Churchill Stinkers and wouldn't recommend it to someone starting out!!

As yet another price increase looms , I'm sure they'll be novice cigar enthusiasts scanning UKCF wanting to test the water (or puff the fat cuban ), but be confident their investment of hard-earned cash will be in the most reliable, quality product with a sound, consistent record.

Smoking a damned-near-perfect Behike 54 last night, and reading some of the weekends comments regarding HdM Petit Robusto (not the cheapest of course) and Hoyo as a brand, I wondered whether it's time to stop compromising on mediocre cigars, smoke less and save a little longer to smoke the best.

I'd vote for the Trinidad Reyes. Less than a tenner at C Gars and a consistently good smoke.

I'd vote for the HDM Petit Robusto. Last I saw they were a tenner a stick.

Not just a cheap smoke but probably my favourite

I'd have to say that the Ramon allones small club corona is fantastic value for money. The Reyes is also hard to fault.
