Combining a cigar with chocolate and port is a very interesting experience. I just couldn't decide which to taste first so tried different combos.
I think the chocolate has to be first, and I think it has to be dark as you can get, like 90% dark.

Nothing beats a chunk of dark chocolate and a glass of port alongside a good cigar. Only thing is, over the winter i only smoke while working and i can't have a drink so this combo has to wait till the summer....

I think it's more certain chocolate with certain cigars. A little about that here: http://www.cigarinspector.com/other/...with-chocolate

I have tried pairing chocolate with a cigar, but personally think they're both better separate.

Can't comment on Port as it isn't something I go anywhere near .... bad childhood memory of the stuff!

That's a very expensive chocolate you have linked to there. I never thought it could be so pricey. Perhaps I'll stick to Lindt or Green and Black's.
Lindt do a 99% cacao which I must try.

I still mourn the passing of Bendicks Sporting & Military chocolate , cannot find it anywhere now

Port is a different drink to try, I've never even thought to give it a go. I'd probably start with my favourite Taylors 10yr Tawny.

The port I was drinking on Saturday was very sweet and I didn't think it'd work with the cigar and chocolate, but I was pleasantly surprised at the success. I now need to try with a Tawny to see which works best. I'm basing this on previous port drinking experiences where the tawny is drier.
