Another year, another promise broken

Well my ban seems to be over? I still don't know why but last year I seemed to have been banned. Sorry for whatever I may have done?

Anyway, just popping in and hope some of my old mates are still going strong.

This year, I really want to get out to some functions. Life is crazy, but if I don't do it this year, that'll be it.

Within the next 12 months I have to give up smoking. Long storey, but its not due to anything nasty

So I'll be smoking like a trooper this year and want to get the most out of it before I have to say goodbye.

I may have been quiet, but I have still been smoking Cubans, just more anti sociably , or on weekends when away, but that is basically camping and we know that you don't get the best out of Cubans outside in thd cold.

I can handle giving up fags, but giving up the Cubans will be so much harder... It a hobbie, an interest, a life style, and represents many wonderful memories... It is a love

And I know that temptation will be too great if I keep anything, so I have a lot to get through by Feb 12 2014, I can't have any tobacco in the house.

So hopefully this year I will keep up with my promise to join you for some quality herfing.

By the way, after an impromptu herf last weekend ( in a tent in the snow, don't ask) you may have a new member around here soon. Be gentle with him, he's already made the mistake of asking me for information and help, so his brain is probably hurting Doesn't seem to have put him off though

I go away about two weekends a month, have done for thd past few years, on Airsoft/ reinacting events. Quite a few of the guts enjoy a Cuban, but probably because it is free one gig though has really gotten the bug and I'll direct him here.
Otherwise I smoke at home in the evening, so smoke a fraction of what we used to. I hate that smoking ban !

Gotten bit lazy with what I smoke these days. I go to Geneva about twice a year and meet up with some guts there ( work). I haven't chased ELs for years but have tried a few while away. Otherwise I just pick up a couple of boxes of my usuals each visit, and some odds and sods. I realised last year that it was financially practice to keep my older stuff if I would be selling everything later this year That hurts, I've got stuff that I've pampered for almost a quarter of a century

Still don't understand why you 'have to' quit? I don't smoke at home but still manage to find enough places to smoke to keep going. Hopefully a years concentrated smoking & herfing will be enough to convince you that you can continue to enjoy your long held passion of smoking & collecting the finest Havanas.
I wanted to PM you but you haven't enough posts but as you have brought it out into the open, should you finally decide to divest some of your incredible & very large stock (I have seen some photos); don't forget to offer some of them on here! Sure you'll get some decent price, without having to lose the 12.5% auction fee if you put them to Mitch. There are some serious buyers on here who'd love to have the chance to try some smokes they are not likely to be able to find otherwise.

No problem. I don't remember seeing any email like that , but then I do tend to be overzealous with chucking out anything that i don't immediately recognise, so it was probably my fault. We'll blame it on spamming so'n so's ! And mine for not checking in more often
