  • Pick my smoke for tomorrow

    Ok folks,
    Tomorrow I am going to have my first "proper"cigar;
    In the frame are;

    Bolivar Belicosos Finos
    Cuaba Distinguidos
    Diplomaticos No. 1
    Partagas Serie P No. 2
    Romeo y Julieta Churchill
    Charatan Churchill
    Rocky Patel The Sixty (1990)

    Shall be having it after lunch with a small Armagnac,quite happy to have a full strength one.
    All of the above are at 67% RH and have been so for thelast 3 weeks, they all came as separates so not sure of the age apart from the Rocky Patel.
    Which would you choose? And why.
    I shall do a review of the chosen one.

    R&J Churchie, decent size, nice flavours to have after a meal and perfect with Armagnac (although I'd advise several small ones)

      I'd go for the Serie P No2, after a meal, smooth mellow start which gradually gets stronger and more flavourful as the cigar opens up. The perfect smoke imo.

          Think I would have gone for the Dippy No1 or the Cuaba for after lunch smoke, maybe the Boli BF if I had eaten quite a heavy meal eg minute steak. Party No2 & R&J Churchill would be my choice for after dinner smokes. Looking fwd to hearing how you get on the with the Party No2, a big flavour bomb for your first big'un.
          Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.

              Bails old mate...the op is in the wilds of Africa...not so easy to nip to your local B&M to pick up a short churchill, unless they've opened a LCDH in the local Kraal....
