  • Hoyo de luxe

    As winter is drawing in I was looking for a few smaller smokes. Has anyone yet tried either the hoyo de luxe or petit Churchill?

          It's a 52 and only 4.5". But as you say, if anything, a medium smoke so should take up 45 minutes

              Love the hoyos and had one friday - Would the hoyo PR be more of a short smoke?

                Yes it would. In fact, the epi 2 may even be shorter but only marginally due to its 50 RG

                  Have a box of epi 2 and would say they're a fair bit bigger than a PR

                      I meant the epi 2 may be a shorter smoke than the de luxe. The PR is half an inch shorter and a 50 RG. The epi 2 is actually very slightly longer than de luxe but again a 50 RG

                        To my knowledge HdM have now released 50RG cigars in these sizes;

                        50 X 4.0
                        50 X 4.5
                        50 X 4.9
                        50 X 5.6
                        50 X 6.1
                        50 X 7.1
                        50 X 7.2 So I'm really looking forward to another 50RG cigar from these people....yawn!

                          Ridiculous but it's the way things are now especially since the smoking ban is affecting most countries. Shame that short and fat are replacing long and thin as the smoking time is much the same...

                            I like the 50rg/Robusto format. Is that wrong?

                              I like it too TJ but there's far too many compared to sub-42 ring-gauges. I'd love to see more Lancero or Fundadores sizes in other brands. Even with the massive amount of REs released in recent years, only the Italian La Escepcion or German Bolivar Especiales spring to mind as a skinny....I can't think of an RE corona or Lonsdale of the top of my head. The majority of REs is mostly robustos, petit-robustos or super-robustos.
