As i understand it, the rules are to discourage the purchase of cigars outside of the country where UK suppliers would otherwise be involved (in other words, buying them from home just to avoid higher prices). As these particular cigars are unavailable in the UK, i personally think they're okay to discuss. Not to mention the fact that jamesfox.ie is in fact the direct Irish counterpart to jjfox.co.uk..........
If this is wrong, what is the Cigar Travel Forum for?

If UK tax has been paid or was within legitimate duty free allowances from trips abroad talk away.
If UK tax has not been paid (and should have been) then don't.
We have no interest in 'discouraging' anyone from buying anything anywhere. Buy what you like, where you like.
Our only concern is how it is discussed on public forum that we are legally responsible for.

just to clarify....... jj fox in dublin sell EMS cuban cigars, and oddly enough i think ireland comes under the umbrella of 'united kingdom' in this situation! also, cigars in dublin are more expensive than the UK, even after the currency exchange, so it's strange to think there's some kind of tax dodging being suggested! dublin is 1.5 hrs drive from my house...... customs aren't waiting at the (invisible) border asking if i have anything to declare!!!! lol....
also, for what it's worth, the jj fox cigars you posted the link to contain the same blend as castella panatelas.......

Foxes in Dublin have some really nice vintage stock sometimes. On the vintage stock often better priced than London.

Fox's in Dublin is one of the classiest cigar stores I've ever been in, as are the Fox's themselves. When you get your cigars walk down towards Temple Bar about two blocks from the store and go to the Morgan Hotel for one of the best and weirdest smoking areas you'll ever see.
Contact Ryan on the board here and find out when they're having a herf for one of the best smoking times you'll ever have, and that's a fact. They used to tell me to try and take Cubans back here to the states and say they were "Irish cigars." I always thought they were kidding until I was in Fox's and saw the section they had labeled "Irish cigars."
I love this board.
