I've always assumed Habanos would freeze by the pallet. Therefore the cigars in the outside position in boxes at the edges of the stacks would bare the brunt .... most likely hog-wash!
(Hurph!). Balderdash!
Haha! Strong words from a stupid looking dawg smiley!

Sometimes could it not just be a state of mind when one is smoking 'em? I smoked a Mag 46 the other night and whilst pleasant was nothing amazing, however, the one i smoked before (not long ago) hit the spot amazingly, same batch!
Interesting stuff about sick period though, i had my first ERD CS (boxed May 2012) and that would explain why it tasted the way it did or are they already aged prebox?

Lee you make a very important point here. State of mind, pallet etc can have a huge influence on how we perceive a given cigar.

That, and possibly from a simultaneous catastrophic change in temperature? When did Habanos start freezing?

Never would consider the freezing issue personally Tip. I think we would need to know a lot more about their exact process to firm an opinion. Of course they have only been freezing for a few years so it would have no influence on older stock.
