Cuban and Non-Cuban

Serious question, no hidden trolling agenda, but is there a marked difference between C and NC? Are Cubans overrated whilst non-Cubans are underrated? I've not smoked enough of either to even begin to divide them into two catagories.
Perhaps I should have written, I ARN'T ABLE TO TELL NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NONE IRREGARDLESS OF WE'RE THEY IS FROM.

Most noticeable difference is development throughout the cigar. Non Cubans tend to be one dimensional (which isn't a bad thing if you like that particular taste), as where Cubans change throughout the experience.

Pretty much nothing mrcigar .... the difference is all in the tobacco plant, the sun, the slopes and the soil.

from my limited experience too, the trace elements etc collected from the soil into the tobacco leaf is why the vast majority of cubans get better with age, where as most NCs dont really age at all, best to smoke them fresh. IMO of course

For me the bottom line is it is comparing apples and oranges. Different raw materials with different history and different market demands ...different products.

Marketing dear boy, lets face it Cubans are good, and so are NC's, if you can convince your customers that a Cigar is worth an extra ?1 or ?2 a stick and you sell a couple of million a year, no brainer really, personally i enjoy all cigars and dont give a shit where they are from.

It just so happens, however, that for me and the rest of the familia Coro,Puros have the edge over most NCs when it comes to value (in terms of satisfying taste) for the money!
