Rehabilitating cigars

Hey guys,

I've just ordered 35 cigars from abroad, but they've taken a long time to come in (probably stuck in customs for the majority of that time). It's been about 20-25 days.

What is the best way to rehabilitate them? I've got a wineador with 65% RH, and the cigars will be in cedar boxes. Is it recommended just to leave the cigars in there for a couple of weeks, or is it better to put them into a seperate humidor (what RH? I've got one humidor with a 70% puck and one humidor that isn't charged at all)? I don't want to shock the cigars and have them crack or anything.

Any help would be great, these cigars will most likely be extremely dry when they come in tomorrow.

20-25 days isn't an extreme amount of time. Many of us freeze out cigars as soon as we get them, but from your options the wineador sounds favourite and then move them to 70?PH after a week or so.

You're worried about your smokes being dry after their journey, to be honest and not knowing where they're coming from, I'd be more concerned about them arriving mouldy, which isn't uncommon if they've been vacuum sealed along with a humi-pack.
