  • My Cigarillo Journey...

I don't know about you but I have always liked the idea of being able to smoke small cigars (Cigarillos) when on my lunch break at work and such. But after trying many different sizes, brands and blends I have yet to find a Cigarillo that doesn't taste like burning wood, harsh nasty and way, way too hot!

I have tried different ways of lighting them and preparing them and no matter what I do I can not seem to find a decent tasting Cigarillo.

Does anyone else feel like Cigarillos are not what they lead you to believe and will never beat the hit of a regular sized Corona or Churchill say.

If I were you, I'd get a different job that allowed longer lunch breaks. Robusto sized breaks, as a minimum

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

I usually take a couple of Monte Puritos to the pub with me, about the same size as a Classic

Cohiba clubs are a nice little smoke, good value at about 1 pound 20 each.

I have been brought a few packs, usually at Christmas and i also think they are horrible! I've also found them hot and just........well errr crap. Have to say they prob weren't anything decent!

I'm hoping once i get a bit of first hand Cuban knowledge that i'll find some nice ones.

I think i'll watch this post to see what people recommend.

I found the Cohiba and Monte minis nasty (although others enjoy them). For me just glorified cigarettes.

My favorite is Cohiba Club. I can see how it can be viewed as harsh. But it kind of has a satisfying quick fix taste for me.

Parti Chicos is also a nice smoke.

Another thumbs up for Toscano or Toscanello, small but packed with flavour.

I always keep some minis around, the little Davidhoffs are smokeable but I tend not to go much smaller than the RyJ Puritos....

I had a CAO Aniversairre Maduro yesterday that was nice. You can get them in 5 pack tins and they are about 4x30. Last 20 minutes or so.

I'm also a fan of toscanellos, but I haven't had any recently. I find that Monte puritos are an acceptable smoke for when time is short, but I don't really think of them as a substitute for a proper cigar and I'd rather smoke an ERdM Demi Tasse.
