  • Buying Cigars from USA

    Hi,

Does anyone on the forum have any experience in buying cigars from the USA, and posting them to the UK. Did you have to pay duty?, did they manage to get through undetected?, Do you travel to the US, then bring them through customs?
Im only asking as i like the Romeo y Juliette cigars and over here there about ?500 per 20..and in the USA there $139 per 20....yep rip off again.

    Thanks

    Gordy..
    UK.

    a) read the forum rules, no discussing ordering cigars from outside the uk, legal issues...

    b) Romeo y Julette cigars ordered from the US are Not Cuban Romeo Y Juliette, completely different cigars, probably Nicaraguan/Dominican/Honduran, might wanna do a bit of reading up on the Cuba/US relationship over the last 50+ years...

I'm a cynical old sod,I freely admit, but I do believe that the vast majority of this type of first post are written with full awareness of what's what.Tiresome!

If you want a midget to look like a baby, don't put a cigar in his mouth.

I've looked and can't see him in the Newbie Greets section...wonder why?

Any betting on if we'll hear from him again?

Lol why so serious all, Zigatoh, will read the rules thanks and yes I do know about the Cuban/USA 50+ years Don't see what's wrong with trying to get good cigars without paying the earth for them, tax man or no tax man he/she gets more than enough out of all of us...so what's wrong with that. thanks for the good info I've already made in roads.

If you think RYJ cigars that you can buy in America are the same as those that come from Cuba, then you really, really dont

Simple really - Because its against the specific rules of this forum

Now if you want talk cigars and have a chuckle then stick around. The only discussion that doesn't happen here is acquiring cigars without paying the correct duty in the uk
