  • Cigar Newbie

    Hello all.
I am very new to cigars and have never smoked at all until a few weeks ago.
So far, to date, I have had about half-a-dozen cigars; I have enjoyed them all in different ways.

The differences and contrasts are fascinating and I am looking forward to tasting more.

Just had an H Upmann ? Coronas Junior which was very pleasant, a lot of smoke and a very easy smoke.
I don?t know how the proper smokers describe all this so please forgive me.

I have ordered a few more cigars from a few different countries from Cgars today and am looking forward to my learning continuing.

Just thought I would break my duck and post something.

Looking forward to learning and tasting more
    Paul

Welcome aboard its a nice place here, don't be afraid to ask questions, join in on the banter.
Sampling is the best thing you can do before u start buying quantity, but be aware that if u smoke enough so you think you have your 'tastes' nailed that they will progress and it all changed again!!!
And when it comes time to buy/ set up a humidor then needs to be at least twice as big as you think you will need

        Welcome!
Got to agree with Andy. When I started (and I would say I'm still new to all this) I purchased a 50ct humi which is full already. There's definitely the smoking side but I also think it brings out the collectomaniac, certainly in me where I want more, far more than I will smoke anytime soon...

Buy sticks in twos and try as many as you can afford is my advice.

Hi Paul, This is the place to be if you like cigars. I second everything Bigboned said. Read some of the cigar reviews on the forum, it will teach your about the flavours and aromas and the qualities of the cigars so you can make an informed decision when buying. Watch out for reviews by Tippexx they are excellent! and advice is freely available on this forum, their a great bunch of lads.

Welcome, great to see many new faces around here.

Not sure I can accept what you're going to do to your duck as I love ducks and geese, but welcome never the less.

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.
