Hi guys, I've just bought two packets of five Davidoff cigars. One pack is Davidoff Grand Cru number 2 and the second is Davidoff number 2. I don't know the difference between them if any. Iv'e never bought, smoked Davidoffs before but for the price I got them I know I got a bargain. So calling any BOTL who has experienced these please share the story. They will be with me this Tuesday.

Delightfully Charming
Greetings Mr. D.
I have smoked several sticks from the Davidoff line, including the Gran Cru # 3 and find them quite delightful. It's been awhile, but as I recall the GC #3 is a bit on the mild side, but a delightful stick, nonetheless. Are the worth the price of high-end puros? That's a personal call, I suppose.
But what the hell do I know!!!

I had a Davidoff in a bar on the Strip in Vegas last year (can't remember what exactly it was, something like a 5' X 50 ish) and loved it. However, i bought a pack of Demi Tasses soom after and they're just plain vile. Dunno what to make of them. I think maybe i should get one or two of the larger ones again to get a better example.

I have been told they are mild and considered a daytime smoke whatever that is? I bought both packets for ?48 so not bad as the grand cru retails for ?87.99 alone. I'm not that keen on mild but I am glad to try a variety before buying box's. Thanks guys for your input and as always its very much appreciated."A good Cuban cigar closes the door to the vulgarities of the world".

The Grand Cru No. 2 is intended to be on the richer / fuller end of the davidoff spectrum. The No. 2 on the lighter end. Both are impeccably constructed (as you would expect from Davidoff). If you are interested in trying fuller Davidoff blends please visit our store in London (Davidoff - 35 St. James's st) - I would suggest the Puro D'Oro or 100 Year Geneva limited Editions. Bear in mind that Dominican Davidoffs will usually smoke lighter than most Cubans. BTW - good price for the packs!
