Done. You'd think they don't want the tax revenues! Don't understand why the Habanos seals wouldn't be on the box though. Would H&F have to decant into British plain boxes, wouldn't the Cubans have to export to the UK in the required packaging & therefore be able to put their bands on?

Think I heard that habanos will not provide plain packaging, was in relation to Australia plain package laws. The consultation says that only plain packaging and government health stickers, so no seals.

Done, was the longest rant from me ever in the comments box.

I feel like a proud cockerel strutting his stuff and ruffling his plumage, right before he is plucked for the table.

Did any of us actually vote for any of this at the election? Or do trivial matters like that not matter any more?

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"

This is more like the nanny state busy bodying that was true of the last lot that we got rid of!

Might be worth some ground work with MPs, letters or visit your local surgeries as well.

I have the (very slight) satisfaction of knowing that I didn't vote for this government or for these intrusive measures, but they still annoy me more than I can say without going on a 5 page rant!
If you want a midget to look like a baby, don't put a cigar in his mouth.
