    Hello People!
In August I will be getting married to a lovely French girl in Toulouse in the South-West of France. I would like your opinions as to what cigar I should provide at the wedding. I don't imagine there will be many people who will have one, and I suspect they will be enjoyed in the wee hours of the morning by those still standing.
Here are the ones I like and think other people would like:

2008 Bolivar Gold Medal - Box of 10 - I think the gold wrapper would be fitting for the occasion, that, and they are a great smoke!
2009 Partagas Culebras - Box of 9 (or two boxes of 9) - I haven't had one of these yet, I have 3 resting in the humidor, but for the novelty factor, they might be nice, and it looks like the cigars are embracing....which is fitting as well perhaps.
2010 Montecristo Petit Edmundo - Box of 10 - Nice fat, but relatively small cigar for those not used to sitting with a cigar for hours!
2010 Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchills - Box of 10 - I've found these very hit and miss, one will be fantastic while another will be very bitter.
2009 Trinidad Robusto T - Box of 12 - Just an all round great smoke.
2011 Partagas Series D No. 4 - Box of 10 - Just kill everyone with strength!

    or go older:

2001 Bolivar Coronas Extra - Box of 25 - More cigars = more people having one?

Anyway, perhaps a box of 25 of something might be better. Afterall 150 people are coming, but as I said not everyone will be into them I'm picking, what do you guys think? Does anyone have any experience with having cigars at weddings? What did you provide? What would you provide if you were getting married?

    SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!

I've seen a couple of these threads now and a couple of ideas I've picked up.

    1) consider tubos, they look cool

        1) consider tubos, they look cool for non smokers also people have a momento of possibly their first cigar.

        2) consider a cheaper newbs cigar for the masses and a good box for selected friends and people that would enjoy them.

        3) you can get custom matches and/or cutters made up if it's your kinda thing.

At mine I put out a box of monte 4's, size isn't intimidating, cost for me wasn't so high so it didn't matter if people tried and threw em (they were shot shortly after of course) nice middle of the road strength, not too heavy for anyone, but strong enough everyone should get something out of them as well...

Course I had something else for me and the best man! (and a couple of other confirmed cigar smokers!)

Right now I'd probably go for the HdM PR for most of the reasons above but I know more about cigars now, and how some aren't always consistent... Plus they'er a bit more celebratory looking than a 4 to me.

Sorry, should have waited for your whole post haha
Yeah thats a good idea about having one for the masses. Dip 4s? And then some GM for close friends at the end of the night?
Thats a really awesome idea about the matches....do you know any places which do them?

You also want to think about how long you want guests to be away from the celebration.

Thats a good point, although I envisaged it would be after all the celebrations had come to a closure...

No problem don't know how that happened, the good box is easy either your favourite or something special you want to try.

                  The non smoker box

                  1) siglo 1 tubo,
good points looks good, known name for newbs, nice smoke good size
                  bad points cost

                  2) petite edmundo
Good points newbs think it "looks right" known name, comes in a tubo, good flavours.
Bad point possibly too big for a newb.

                  3) dip 4
Bad points do u really want some of the last of these on the planet chucked away because they don't like them.

                  Other ideas
Partagas shorts, bolivar pc, padron 2000, monticristo no4, HDM petite Robusto, Reyes, VR famosos.

Trying to see if I can find a link for the matches.

You're right about the size of the Monte 4s, they're not intimidating, and it wouldn't kill me if people threw them out.
You know, I forgot about HdM....lovely bands on them, great little cigar.....perhaps you're on to something! Thanks for your input

Yes, in hindsight, point no. 3 would kill me. haha
Maybe I'll have a look at the Cohibas....but you're right, they are expensive. I think the HdM are a very good idea! Thank you for your input, its much appreciated

Cigars at weddings = cigars half smoked and crushed in ashtrays.

Get a box of petits coronas/marevas in tubos plus a box of 10 for the few amateurs.

The box of tubos must be from a very well known marca, as Montecristo, RyJ, Cohiba, etc. If you provide some nice Sancho Panza or Rafael Gonzales (unknown from the general public) some people will think you've been stingy?

                        I suggest the RyJ No.2 A/T.
The Montecristo Petit Tubos is not very good, and the tubed Siglo's are pricey. Boli PC are too strong for occasional smokers.

RyJ no2 tubos, would be ideal....but taste and consistency wise, the coronitas en cedro are much better and the cedar wrap gives it that vintage look
