My first ever proper cigar (I had only tried Hamlets and Villigers before this) was a Cohiba robusto, and although I enjoyed it I found it a bit harsh and bitter for my liking (it was clearly way too young but I didn't know that at the time). The first cigar that I really fell in love with was the party short, and to this day it's still one of my favourite quick smokes.

+1 I did really enjoiy my first couple of boxes of No4's but once I tried Hoyo Epi No2's I knew they were in a different class & would say they were my fav's after that. As I smoke ac onstant variety these days I'd say my current favs are Hoyo No2, Monte No 2, Boli CG's, RASCC, ERDM brand.Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.

Thanks for that Vortigan, I foolishly forgot all about that website (I now remember browsing it a few months ago and it really is a gold mine of information). I'm a fan of most Partagas sticks so I might have to try to get my hands on some the unvarnished before stocks vanish.

Years back I was at Schipol airport, my flight had been delayed for hours, and I bought a 5-pack of Siglo 4's at the duty free shop on the spur of the moment, sat at the bar with a pint of dark beer and tried one of the Siglos...that's when I knew it was for me...

Cant think of the first stick that i really enjoyed but the first one that i fell in love with was the Monte 2. A great smoke and still one of my faves!Ron White Quotes
I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.
