  • christening cigar

    hello

well at the end of the month 22nd it will be the christening of my first nephew. I will also be the godfather of this lovely little boy as well as. this is the first child from me and my brothers so I am very happy to be a uncle, and as so I am looking to supply a box of cigars for the event as will be a long a boozy one. Now I know what box of cigars I would like to supply but will be a bit of a stretch with everything else as well and not all might appreciate how good they are so might be a bit of a waste so can anyone suggest a good box for the occasion or even a place to get them from.

Can't go past a box of Quinteros. Cuban, handmade, and reasonably priced. Used to have horrible construction but the recent ones are pretty good Congrats by the way!!

Are the other people smokers? Because it would be a waste to buy a box of the good stuff if there not going to appreciate them. I would go for something good, cheapish and unthreatening to a newbie. Then buy yourself and anyone else that would appreciate it something better.

I read another thread that had a good suggestion, try a tubo. They look cool and they could be a memento.

        Ta da!:

Great little smoke that won't make anyone blow chunks and if there are and serious cigar smokers even they will appreciate them. If I showed up at an event and was given one of these I'd be chuffed to bits.

These are a bit bigger and you get a plastic tube but, well they are not up to the quality of the El Ray Del Mundo

cheers for the suggestions so far guys some of them or most will not be smokers but it is for the one or two that will that stops me going too far down the cigar chain, plus the fact I have to smoke one myself . The Tubo idea is good but the main point is for people to smoke at the time not buying one fro every mail as would be in the hundreds then

I would strongly advise against the guantanamera I bought some as decoy smokes and ended up tossing them after trying one. They were the worst cigar I've ever tried and I didnt want to put people off my hobby.

Just take the band off the good ones for the smokers, the non smokers won't know or probably care they will appreciate the gesture.

Im going to say montie 4 as the construction on the 5 is just awful IMHO it goes from good to bad more often than a motorway hooker.

And if you give people guantanimos they will never forgive you.

Every Monte 5 I've ever had has been fantastic construction! If anything I never buy Monte 4's because of their much maligned quality control!

I dont suppose anybody wants a straight razor mentor or even double edge (think of the long term saving) Nah I am actually only kidding kind of.
But think I might sell off one or two of my collectables and fund a lot better purchase.

I have a straight razor that I use on and off, more off than on after cutting a bloody great big chunk of my face off last year

What are your parameters for your purchase? Size, strength, number of cigars, what you would like to spend etc? We'll get you sorted out with some good cigars that people will remember
