Recently did a comparison with one and another Salomones from Ajay's roller. Smoked them side by side with Bnelly & Spacemonkey no.9 General consensus was that they were both great cigars

I think generally they get a bit of a bad rap because of the rest of the Cuaba line, they are also pretty huge which may put others off. Talking to most people who have smoked them however is they are great; coffee dream sticks.

Had one, not that much to write home about. Got another one in the humi that is resting up for a while.

Only had one and got a couple more, nice enough but nothing special, interesting for the size as much as anything, had it a while back but seem to remember some liquorice?

The thread is about Partagas Salomones…

These salomones have a reputation for being too mild, lacking complexity and any Partagas character…

I've had a couple and they were 'very nice' smokes but I don't know if I'd buy a whole box?! Maybe in Gib?

Smoked them now and again and they are nice after a large meal, when you can chill out with a glass of Whisky. Takes me a few hours to get through one though. I think I prefer the Lusis if given the choice.

Smoked one about a year ago... bought it from Cyprus.

Really nice Cigar, but like Stevieboy on this one... not sure if I would buy a box. If I had some money going spare and I wanted a "jumbo" smoke i would probably dish out for some.

Have one sitting in my humidor. Has been since my first visit to Ajay's store, so it must be the best part of 18 months resting at my place. Haven't really found the right moment for me to want to fire it up and enjoy it. I'm really looking forward to it though, and will report back when I eventually get around to it.

The seem to have gotten a bit of a bashing from people, though can't comment myself as never had one. I think the complaint was usually they were quite bland?

I have to admit to wanting to grab a box of these at some point, being a lover of Party's etc.But I'm not sure that I want them for any reason other than to have them if that makes sense. And as such I wonder if it would be pretension on my part, which I'd like to avoid.I'd very rarely smoke something that size so maybe that's my answer..........then again maybe I'm trying to analyse it far too much!!!

                              To Vortigan.

If we can get our little herf organised soon, I'll bring along one for you to try. I have a box with about a year of age on them. Sorry I haven't been in forum for about a week, but been very busy at work!
