Some nice inventories here folks.

It took me quite a few years to build up enough stocks so I could smoke at least a couple of different, decent cigars every week (4 boxes/year) and still have younger smokes saved to age. I smoke my face off during Cuba trips so I'm able to hold down consumption at home.

I spread-sheeted my total inventory several years ago and keep it updated with all additions/subtractions. Things seem to have settled out at about 1800 cigars, give or take.

Presently, about 20% of my inventory is in non-Cuban cigars, collected when I was traveling a lot in the USA where they were cheap. Now that I'm retired on a pension, I can only afford to buy the Cuban cigars I prefer, and with a couple of trips to Cuba every year, I've been able to more or less replace what I smoke. When all the non-Cubans (about 300) are gone, I expect the humidors will end up with about 1500 cigars.

I'm convinced that the best thing you can do, if you enjoy Cuban cigars, is to get a 'critical mass' put away so your older stock will continue to age as you smoke it and new cigars are continually added to the inventory. There is nothing quite like the pleasure of kicking back with a 8-10 yo Cuban smoke an an adult beverage of your choice.

I'm relatively new to this and so currently only have a small desktop humi which currently only contains about 10 sticks. I don't yet want to take the plunge and buy a box as there's so many sticks to try so it's samplers and singles for me at the moment. I also tend to do about half of my smoking in the Newcastle lounge rather than at home so quite a lot of my purchases never make it home.

Nice pics and even nicer stock, Steve... starting to get to the point where I'd like to be able to consider a humidor cabinet. Would certainly make getting at stuff much easier than having to go and dig around in a coolidor (and find the right one of those first time for what I'm looking for!)

I have about 80 of which 20 are NC's.

Buying a box in the UK is a big commitment from my disposable income and I'm not sure I know enough about what I do and don't like to commit that sort of spend yet. I am picking up odds and ends on here to get as much variety as possible in my humi and buy boxes on holidays.

Once I know what I like then it might be worth it for me to consider buying boxes, but I can't see it being more than occiasionally.......then again I remember when I had 12 bottles of whisky and said that I couldn't really see me ever needing more than that. 250 + bottles later.........
