I still like RP. The decade is a good smoke.

It will happen with any stick that has been dyed with a chemical.

Nothing is added to Cuban cigars so it won't happen to Cubans.

I find NC's sold in the U.S market to be more about style than substance. For instance giving cigars a spray tan, very Amy Childs .... innit!

While i think most of the top enders like opus x and gurkha are over rated and crap you can find some damn good cheaper NCs the perdomo champagne noir and lot 23 are quite complex and in expensive most AFs are very nice and some of the other rocky patels like the old world reserve and sun grown are very good IMO.

While the dyed wrappers are cheesy as hell they are still good smokes but you cant think of them like a cuban in any way.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy some NCs but I won't by anything that has been sprayed with chemicals and has other additives in it, at that point you might as well be smoking cigarettes IMO

I'm primarily a Cuban cigar smoker, but I ended up ordering a couple of Non-Cuban samplers from CheapHumidors in the States to try them out. 27 Sticks in total. I haven't smoked all of them yet, but two of them I just couldn't even get through the first third and ended up discarding them, I forget which ones they were I'm sorry. The others I haven't been very impressed with, very one-dimensional. I did have one in the sampler, a Partagas Black Label Bravo which is one of the best cigars I have ever had. It was amazing. I am trying to get hold of a box but can't find them here in Switzerland, across the border in France or online in the UK. Unfortunately the shipping rates from the states recently increased to the point where I can almost buy a box (admittedly a box of 10) of my favourite Cubans (Monte No. 2s, Partagas D, Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchills etc) for the price I can get the box of Bravos from the States. I will have to order them soon though as I want to check that they were as good as I remember! In saying all of this, if you buy samplers of NCs they will generally be cheaper sticks. However, the place I got them from say they weren't all that cheap. I guess the moral of the story is, smoke what you enjoy no matter where they come from!

AF short story, a great stick.
                  Tat Black Petite Lancero, ditto.
LP Dirty Rat, Flying Pig, Undercrown, ditto.
A good cigar that agrees with your particular palate is a good cigar no matter where it was from, why limit your smoking experience by being a cuban only snob ?

I must be at odds with a few people hear, I like some of the cheap NC's you can buy in the UK. Yes they can be mild, and uncomplicated, but never the less, I can still chill out and have some me time. I have just ordered the following, which should keep me going for a while.

                    1 x Winston Churchill Lancaster - tin of 4, 1 x Toscano Classico - 5s, 4 x Chinchalero Picadillos, 2 x 3 x 3 Tubos Corona,
                    1 x Camacho Corojo Machitos – tin of 8

The Lancaster is amazing, full cuban seed (The first one from Davidoff) and the perfect size. Haven't tried the bigger vitola on offer yet as they are..pretty steep!

I dont see the problem with New World cigars, some of my fav sticks are Nicaraguan, (a few) Dominicans and even some Dutch ones. Had one of the Tatuajes this afternoon and that was a great little smoke, flavour and a dynamic range of them too. The Oliva V & G Maduros are great, love the Regius Robustos, The bigger Ashtons are a great story in your mouth. But one of my favs is the De Olifant DS Valentyne, aslong as it humidified correctly and smoked slowly they are stunning smokes.

Personally i find a fair few Habanos are over rated and not that enjoyable. But hey thats my take on them, i have many customers (UK) who have moved from Habanos and not gone back.
                        I smoke therefore i am.

The Spitfire & Lancaster are the better of the WC i have tried. Had 2 of the "original lines" in the range and wasnt overly keen.

Being ?18-?22 for them is a bit of a downer too! The smaller oens are just the right size to not get boring or too one dimensional. Deff going into my regular rotation would be nice if they came in a box instead of just the 4 count tins but it's not a huge issue
