Why dont cubans look as nice and burn as even as non cubans??

I subscribe to a whole number of cigar bloggers online, british and US and other parts of the world, but Americans in particular always say that cuban wrappers dont look as nice as nicuraguians, dominicans or hondurans and tend to be slightly veiny and rustic looking. They also say that cubans always burn unevenly.

I live in london so i smoke pretty much exclusively cubans. only non cuban i have personally tried is the padron 1964 (45 years, 52x6). It was too strong for me because i was a complete beginner smoker so cant really comment on whether it was a good cigar or not because it completely overpowered me (was i think my 3rd cigar that was given to me by a friend who works at a cigar store in london) but i have to say the cigar looked amazing and the wrapper was a lovely dark chocolate slightly bumpy (i think u call it toothy) wrapper, and i have to say the burn was straight all the way to the nub and the ash itself was bright white.

I personally love cubans and will only ever really smoke non cubans from time to time but why do cubans not have that polished finish to them, dont get me wrong there are beautiful looking cubans out there but i feel they are few and far between

Because Cuban wrapper leaves are Cuban wrapper leaves .... they aren't there for decoration there there to bring out a certain taste that NCs try to emulate .... but can't.

Burn is burn and by percentage I've had more wayward NC than Cuban .... draw unfortunately is another matter.

NC do look flashier than CC admittedly .... but 'pimped-up' bands and spray tan wrappers aren't really the gentlemanly thing!

Some of them might not look nice but they smoke damn well they are like that girl you meet shes not a supermodel but god damn you are going to go back for more every time and shes a lot nicer than the glammed up whores because shes got a thing called a personality.

To me cubans and non cubans are two different things and should be treated as such so never compare them to one another and if you want a nice looking but crappy NC to smoke go buy a gurkha its even overpriced to boot.

my view is that , us human being, or at least myself, some how get more enjoyment out of imprefect things.

inconsistant, burn issues, wrapper colour differences, we call it personality. no make up on the face. french wine vs new world.

Yesterdays NC a macanudo titan was exactly that a pimped up whore.

Sure it looked good but in the end it gave my crotch rot and was expensive.

This is why ill be sticking to russian brides instead just mail them back when your done.

Would you guys rather a smoke a Quintero Panatellas or a NC mid-premium cigar (eg Rocky Patel, Oliva, Torano etc)?
