I smoke because i like it and it is the time that i can relax and blowing smoke rings... I like enjoying the taste of cigars, smoking it alone or with some friends... It`s a shame that i mustn?t enjoy cigars inside a pub or a caf?... In Spain it`s the same but before smokers can enjoy our cigars inside a pubs or caf?s...

They taste good and it's relaxing. Also, it's a manly thing to do and is best (imo) when it's done socially. You can't beat a bunch of lads playing poker, talking trash, listening to some classic rock, drinking whiskies and smoking cigars. A night like that is the dogs

Its not just smoking a cigar (which is reason enough in itself) thats great but the romance and culture around them that makes them great - there is a whole world that unless you get interested in them you wouldn't even hear about

                  They are just fantastic!

I always smoked the occasional cigar on hols, bbq's etc. they were always an after thought and ended up smoking some crap.
One year we went on our hols and I went prepared with a selection of Cubans.
It blew me away and I was hooked. Nothing beats a 'real' cigar, some good alcohol and the slight tingle of too much sun.
Sitting in the uk, mid November isn't quite the same but it still relaxes me and takes me away for a while.

Yeah, that is the business. I went on holiday to Montenegro recently but unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to buy any cigars in advance and they didn't seem to have anything worth smoking. There were a few occasions when a cigar would have been perfect which was a shame. I'll stock up next time

I am a complete nicotine addict, finally managing to ditch the cigs 2-3 years ago and moved onto ecigs to still get my nic hit. Found cigars through wanting to try a cuban and to mark a personal celebration.

Couldn't believe the aroma and flavours from the tobacco in cigars compared to the tobacco I had previously been around, and while still craving part of the cigarette habit (the ritual, the lighting, the fiddling in the hands with it, the quiet contemplative smokes with a brew etc but not the nic, plenty from the ecig) but not wanting to go back onto the cigs, the cigar fills a nice halfway compromise in terms of retaining some form of relationship with smoking while maintaining an acceptable health to risk ratio compared to the cigs.

The bonus of cigars seems to be that less is more, the flavours, ritual, time taken to smoke etc means that for me, the smokey craving is satiated for a longer period than with cigarettes and far more enjoyable and rewarding to boot.

I took up cigar smoking on holiday for the fun of it but soon realised it was more than a bit of fun as people have said the flavours and smells of different sticks is endless. I also feel proud going to my small desktop humidor seeing my little collection knowing one day i might have a massive collection and look back on the hot night in may sitting back relaxing in Egypt it was worth buying the stick

For me there is no addiction what so ever, sometimes if the mood does not take me I will go weeks with nothing and no ill effect.

I smoke because I enjoy the relaxation and flavour, i think it complements alcohol well and i love me some alcohol! I am also starting to enjoy learning about the history involved... Brands etc.

I'm a bit of a gadget tart, so naturally I like all the kit that comes with it. Lighters, Cutter's, Humidors and All the Pipe paraphernalia.

Finally I enjoy the social aspect, though my smoking buddy has moves away so the social aspect for me at the moment is limited to my interactions on this wonderful forum.
