    Hey,

First, this is my first post here, so, greetings everybody.

its the wrapper thats come off about a square inch i just hope all the smoke wont come out where there is no wrapper
    It's not a cigarette, mate : )
You can definitely smoke it with pieces of the wrapper missing. I'm pretty sure (though I haven't tried it) that you could just smoke a cigar without the wrapper altogether - the outer binder leaves will serve pretty much the same role.

I personally hate it when the wrapper begins unraveling, so I fix it with cigarette rolling paper when that happens - if the piece of wrapper that's coming off is still attached and the damaged area is not too large. Else I guess you just remove the damaged parts of the wrapper.

The purpose is to bring the humidity level to 70% SLOWLY and over a period of a few days. If you put dry cigars directly in that kind of humidity they will crack and often the binder and filler will expand faster than the wrapper causing the cigar to tear and appear as if it exploded
Explains a lot. Very useful article, thanks!

Let me be the first to welcome you Try a post in the "newbie greets" section of the forum. Don't let the name dissuade you, it's just new to the forum, not to cigars
And secondly, yes. You have reason. my RYJ 2s seem to always unwrap themselves near the final third. It gets devilishly annoying so i just remove the wrapper and just have the binder like you said.
I only keep smoking with the binder if it's got at least a year on it. Otherwise, its not worth all the trouble and all.

Yes yes, please do post an intro. I'm quite curious to where you're located as you're posting at 0200GMT. i'm almost certain you're not in the UK

I'm hoping this works on a couple of Partagas Serie D LE's I have had for about 15 years. I've now got them in a zip lock bag with a GoveeLife hygrometer so I can keep track of the humidity on an app when it settles down 🤞🏼
