Last night after dinner I decided to have a Jose L Piedra. Im not a big fan but money is tight and so on. Anyway, I happened to have a bit of indegestion and started sucking on a rennies. Usually I wouldnt have one while smoking but I thought, it cant make this thing much worse can it?
To my amazement, I suddenly started to get a much more balanced tasting cigar. It suddenly went from moiderately harsh tobacco with a slight whiff of petrol, to an average but very smooth smoke. I can only guess as to why this might happen, but I dont think it is as simple as the sugar making it taste better - Ive had sweets in my mouth before and noticed no effect. Could it be something to do with the Calcium Carbonate?
I also noticed once I finished the rennie it went back to being harsh again, so it wasnt the cigar changing for the better.
Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
