You wont go to far wrong with the sampler, will definitely be a great introduction! Just start making notes of what it is you like and dont like, and just start sampling as much as you can, and start to define your own tastes and preferences.

I find that Guantanamera are alright for cheap machine rolled Cubans nothing stellar but a decent cigar. I'd suggest trying out Trinidad and my favourites Ramon Allones they also go well with a GOOD malt whisky.
