Second on the HdM Petit Robusto (I tend to harp on about them a bit, thanks Andy!) but to your question of brands, it's the only one of that brand I like so far and I love them, the mag 46/48/50 and Epicures of the same brand I've had I can live without really, nothing particularly wrong with them but just not my thing, go figure!

As for the Luis Martinez: I actually like them. Well made, tasty, affordable (relatively), and simple.

Ok ill even vouch for the chinchaleros i got a box for my friends a few back and decided to get some for myself they wernt bad for NCs.
Although there are some half decent NCs you can get on the cheap while i normally ask my american friends to send me a few bundles labled as "books" and a gift if you follow the rule of no more than 50 cigars into the UK from a non-EU country i think you will be fine.
I find the flor de oliva maduro brand to be a nice non cuban smoke that can be cheap to buy and not bad for what you pay for maybe $130US for 50 sticks is damn good i like the torpedos and the churchills myself.
Ill just edit this a little expect to pay about ?5-8 for the same NC cigar in london.
PS. if you goto london its my suggestion that you goto JJ Foxs in St James's Street its got good prices great staff and its exempt from the smoking ban.

Technically it is not tax evasion - if it is genuinely a gift and not from a shop over there, it is perfectly legal up to an x amount of tobacco - 50 sticks sounds about right.
Edit - sorry reread and saw hes talking about mislabelling - I dont think that is neccessary as a gift from a non commercial source should be ok??

HI guys,
my first post on here, so be kind.
Im fairly new to cigars, and dont have a very high income to spend on cigars, so i often look for the best for low price.
im hoping to order some Chinchalero Perlas which are about 2.40 each, very cheap i know, but as i said, i cant afford any more.
Has anyone smoked these before? or know of any similarly priced cigars? i like 4-5 inch, ring 38-42.
cheers
