I guess that I just had a rare bad one originally.

I am incredibly impressed with the customer service from C-Gars and the manner in which they handled this with zero hassle.

Top news, Rod! Worth persevering with, I'd say. Might have to try a Palio myself although I'm more than happy with my Xikar!

Having used one from Cgars for so long I haven't had to use another but I'll say it cuts clean and cuts as good as the first day I recieved it.

Just tried the Palio I got with my UK RE sampler from CGars, bit surprised that it squash-cuts compared to my usual Xikar. Maybe I'm not using it right?

This is good to hear that you can return it! I got mine about a month ago and it produces a very rugged cut....have gone back to a free one. Might send mine back I think.

I have give my Palio to PeanutPete ....lets see how he gets on with it.

For me the Original Cuban Crafters were great. All those I have seen in the last two years just don't have the same sharpness. Every Xikar I have tried has been great and every Palio (about 4 now) pinches the cigar just a little.

Cheers Monkey! Your thoughts in the other thread that the Palio squash / crush / squeeze the cigar too much echo what I've seen the couple of times I've used it.

                        Glad it's not just me.

Been trying to think what to test it on that is the same density as a decent cigar... figured I'd sacrifice a NC...

Thought this was worth resurrecting. I've used a Palio for years and cuts as clean as new. Anyone else use these and found them good or bad ?

I have one, had to have it replaced after a fault and haven't been overly impressed with the sharpness of either unit.

I use my Colibri v-cutter pretty much exclusively now.

Lost my palio recently, mentioned it to a friend & he gave me his, said it was just a spare. So kind ( I had just given him a 1980's Davidoff), shame I haven't got the nice little case for it but beats buying another.
