Hi guys, I hope you're all enjoying the festive season. I'm having some problems with mu humidor. I use the 65% puck beads and have had great results with them so far, keeping around 66 or 67% constantly for at least a month. But at the moment they are at 62% and I only added water on Thursday! What can I do to up the humidity a bit? Also, what could the casue be? Maybe winter? Hope someone can help

Ensure the temperature is stable first, otherwise all efforts to stablise the humidity will be all over the shop.Originally posted by James811 View Post
These things can take time to resolve so don't expect it to be rectified overnight.
Tackle one variable at a time and I'd aim for temp first as what you are actually measuring is "relative humidity" and relative means relative to other variables; temperature being one of them!Comment

I had a few problems with my humi at first, I relocated mine into a wardrobe and the humidity seemed to bump up to around 69% from 62%.

Wardrobe huh? Im not sure I could imagine having a humidor in my wardrobe! Wouldn't you get the same sort of results from say a cupboard in your living room or kitchen? If it works it works though I guess!Comment

Glad to see there is some improvement, James! Keep an eye on it over the next few days to see if it gradually bumps up to levels you want. DW, I suppose a cupboard should have similar conditions, no reason to see why that wouldn't work too.
It may also be worth looking into the Humi pucks if you haven't yet, I'm going to order one after Xmas (probably from Cgars) but at the moment I'm using a 90 day humi pouch which seems to be aiding my humi.
