Ok tommorow I'm going to buy a couple of singles from my local tobacconist

If anyone can recommend some lovely light-medium smokes for me I will be sure to look them up!

Also are Cohiba worth a look as people are always positive about them

    Thanks guys

    HdM Petit Robusto... nuff said!

Cohiba - Personal opinion, great starter smoke due to usually being very smooth, but a bit dull... (this is possibly a view a bit apart from the norm!)
If you really want to go the more expensive route I'd say the Trinidad Coloniales is worth the extra for the quality, just an example.

Nope, think you're into london for cigar shops really, harpenden has a nice tobaconnists (old school with jars of penny sweets and tobaccos and the like) but a very limited range...

If your ever heading towards Cambridge stop off at Royston and check out Ladds they have a "reasonable" variety of cigars tobacco's and pipes and it's not to far from welyn (I hope this doesn't class as advertising! I would have messages it to you but I can't PM)

if you're looking something light to medium, defo look up:
            hoyo de monterrey (anything)
            h upmann (anything)
            punch (anything)
            cuaba (anything)

these are reasonably priced and available! cohiba and trinidad are recommended, but they are expensive!

            hope this helps mate,

Hold up (no offence Alex!), Trinidad may be expensive but the Reyes are a good price for a good smoke ! Age them well though; if smoked too young all you can taste is tobacco.

We could, but as a sortof knewbee myself a good budget of ?8-14 per cigar is within reason. I say that and I bought two Monte 2s back in July... how can I forget the many Partagas D4s, oh the dilemma of impulse purchase and tasty stogies!

Have Hoyo put you on their payroll yet?

As for my suggestions, have a look at the Partagas line if they have anything there. The D4s are some of the most favoured, and P2 is one of my go to cigars and havent had one disappoint yet.

ERdM Demi Tasse. Flavourful, you can't go wrong. (the older the better).
Monte 5. Lively and not too strong.
Bolivar Bonitas. Clean, tastey and one the lightest of the Boli. (Discontinued, but singles not hard to find).
Upmann Conni 1. Light, fresh and always tastey.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

So i just got in from trecking all the way to cambridge and then across cambridge to a "tabacconist" which had about 5 different varieties of cigar and i was very dissapointed (no offence to the owner) my local has 20x the amount of stock

                              so i got

a bolivar no.2 which has the most beautiful aroma
                              and
a Romeo Y Julieta no.2 which again looks and smells amazing but not as much so as the bolivar
