Saw this on the news this morning. It's just taking away people's civil rights now. Next it'll be banning people from smoking in their own home.

Having said that, i do think that if you need a smoke while driving, you got a problem.

I've never smoked in the car so Im lucky I guess, as I will never have the problem of this affecting me.

Whilst I think you should be allowed to smoke in your own vehicle. I remember growing up and having to sit in the car for hours on end sometimes, with both my parents chain smoking away with barely one window open. I certainly wouldn't have been against a ban on smoking in vehicles back then! In fact even now, I would say, with children in the car, smoking should potentially be banned. I guess I have tainted viewpoint however lol!

I think you would have to be a total retard to smoke in any confined space with a child present, given what we now know about secondhand smoke, as for adults they have a choice, end of.

Just a thought, if smoking in a car is bad then what about a small room. Time to start banning smoking in your house

Personally I enjoy the occasional seegar in the car. However, I would never have dreamt of doing it when the kids were in the car.

Given what we all now know about second hand smoke I find it hard to believe that anyone would now make anyone sit in a smoky car with them. But I want to have the choice.

How could you concentrate driving while smoking? Its using your hands so I clearly see the point they're making. Second hand smoke though? Ha! More hazardous toxins enter and exit the car all the time!
