    Hi there!

I think it would help forum members by telling us what you're looking for in your smoke? For example ,a long lasting powerful flavour or a short yet mellow smoke etc.
This website has a lot of reviews http://www.cigars-review.org/

I'm relatively new to smoking cigars myself, over the past 10 months I've tried many varieties of cigars and I know what my likes are.

Short smokes - Cohiba Siglo I's (79/100) with lots of smooth/creamy aromas, Por Larranaga Petit Corona - (84/100), one of my personal favourites widely appreciated offering a variety of flavours, I find them quite Earthy, Montecristo No. 5 - (79/100), lots of coffee and Earth and finally the explosive Partagas Shorts - (83/100), I'm yet to try this cigar but I know Partagas cigars pack a real punch. I'm told that the Party Shorts are very, very rich cigars but I'm not sure if they're a good stick for a new smoker. Personally, I like the Cohiba Siglo I's, PL PC but my favourite "short smoke" is the Bolivar Corona Junior. Others to look into: Trinidad Reyes, Boli CJ, El Rey Del Mundo PC and Saint Luis Rey PC.

Medium smokes - Bolivar Gold Medal, Vegas Robaina Famosos (lovely smoke, my humidor will never be without a few of these), Cohiba Siglo II, Montecristo No. 4 (apparently lots of new smokers start on these, I quite like them), H Upmann Connoisseur No. 1 (a very highly regarded cigar), Partagas Serie D No. 4 (lots of rich yet powerful flavours) I'm not sure if this cigar is suited to a newbie though!

Long smokes - H Upmann Mag 50, Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No 1, Cohiba Siglo IV (my Christmas cigar this year), Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro, Bolivar Coronas Gigantes.

http://www.cigars-review.org/ - all the scores above are from this site, personally I can recommend a few sticks that I think are adequate for a new smoker. My list is as follows:

PL Petit Corona, Cohiba Siglo I, Vegas Robaina Famosos, Bolivar JC, H Upmann Conny No. 1 and the Montecristo No 2.

    Welcome to the forum also!

    Frederick.

Partagas Short is a must in my eyes, and most things bolivar and RyJ are a good place to start as I found out when I got into things a few months back, good luck, let us know how you get on
A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

The RYJ Short churchill is a great cigar for a newbie..

Very sweet aroma but can be very inconsistent in the production

THe Monte Petite edmundo is also a stick that really got me into cigars
