I was having one of those lovely moments today.
i had just finished a busy day of delivering a training course in wales, i returned to my hotel (the priory) in Caerleaon which as the name suggests is a beautiful old priory dating back from 1180.
The weather was chilly but calm and sunny so i decided to wrap up and go find a nice spot to smoke a cigar.
once decided that i was going to smoke a winston churchill lancaster as it was the shortest smoke i had with me i went and found i nice sheltered spot in the lovely grounds the priory has to offer.
i lit the cigar sat back on the bench and began to unwind
after about 20 mins i was refelcting on how much i was enjoying this great value little stick and the veiws before me.
30 mins past and i was thinking nothing could ruin this moment. the evening sun on my face with air still enough to see the tinted blue clouds of tasty smoke hanging in the air.
then i noticed a gate being opened behind me what followed was a prosession of bins being dragged across the century old cobbles!! propper ruined my vibe i can tell you! the sound remanicance of those rumbble strips you cross as your approaching a junction from the moterway!
if it had been just one i could proberly of just ignored it but after the first one followed 4 others!
finally the gate was closed the bins having been returned and the irratating sound doubled and i was able to get back to my solace and cigar but unfortunatly not quite able to regain the sence of well being that had long since left.
so my question to you fellow BOTL is what has ruined perfect moments for you, cigars or otherwise?
