I was always under the impression that if it could be wiped off with no mark or stain left behind, then it wasn't mold. Are there exceptions here?

White mold NEVER leaves any mark or stain.

Hmm. Then i'm not sure what to do with the Serie D No. 4 i received this morning. I have looked carefully over it and can't find anything else out of the ordinary, and is now 'semi-quarantined' in its tube in the humidor in ideal conditions. If it was mold, is it likely to be the end of it as long as it stays in those ideal conditions?

Hey BB! Does that include THIS FORUM?

(Hurumph!) ESPECIALLY if it comes from this forum, blu-balls.
Must agree with the Mexican't on this (though I don't like to!)
Cut & pasted innacurate advice is always IMHO a bad thing.
            Don't do it!
Personal experiences only or you could be responsible for some poor newbee trashing his hard earned cigars.
I've had mould on the feet of some aged Monte A's..cut an inch off & had a damn good smoke.....
