Try some Balvenie 21 year old neat and you'll never go back. I used to drink spirits with coke or a mixer of some sort but now I'm of the opinion that if it tastes better with a mixer then it's not worth the money. For me the good life is a RASCC with some Balvenie portwood, what was the cigar BTW?

The only other Balvenie I've tried is the double wood, the portwood is very smooth with a sweet sometimes strong but smooth long finish. The portwood is alot more subtle and far smoother than the 12 year old with a sweeter taste.

That's as best I can describe it, there is a big difference between the two and it's well worth the money.

I haven't seen it sold in any supermarket where I live, I purchase mine from this site CLICK yeah it isn't cheap but I only drink about 2-6 glasses per week which means it lasts me for about 4-6 weeks. It tastes so good that I've gone off all other liquer, wine and beer infact I've turned into a right bloody snob! But it really is that good, I'm not BSing to look sophiscated or anything it really is worth the money.

I'd never have tried it myself but my mother got me a bottle for my birthday, before that I was fine drinking the local happy shopper brand blended gutrot! When I'm buying a new bottle sometimes I wish I still was, however it is cheaper in the long term as I do drink alot less now thanks to the price and quality of the scotch.

If you have a good scotch with that Monte 4 it'll improve the whole experience trust me, I know I sound like a snob (and I hate sounding like one) but until you smoked a good Cuban you were probably fine with Hamlets.
