Jeez. That's some deletions. I imagine there'll be uproar over the Boli PC deletion. I know a lot of folks love their cabs!!!
Deleting the 12s of Trinis is mental...they're dear enough to begin with without forcing folks to buy the 24s. Maybe they're introducing 6s instead?!?

Apparently yep, I'm waiting on confirmation because no one can believe it but from what I'm being told they are no more.

RobustoT ...surely not, it only came out in 09!!

The old tanios are great. And no more 50's of mag46's. 50's are the best cabs to age

Some of us continued to enjoy good cigars..before they became a F'in novelty for the young with disposable income...profit before quality & choice will kill the industry...some of my stock is older than the idiots making these decisions..Kudos to Jose Candia..another good man gone !

I like all the RE and LE releases that come out every year. It ads to the selection and many have been top smokes. I feel that the limited releases keep the cuban market interesting and it furthers my enjoyment as the hunt for a rare smoke is all part of the fun for me. Furthermore the LEs can be used to test the market for new vitolas before being incorporated into the regular lines, so they do serve a purpose beyond gimmick.

Im not a fan of the large RGs and if a smokes shit then its shit regardless of marketing. I feel the BHK range falls into this category.

However I would rather have a stable of tried and tasted smokes over the novelty of LEs and REs. In an ideal world I would have both coexisting.

I'm sorry but I can't agree that you have to hunt for a rare smoke in todays market, they are only artificially rare because of the marketing strategy to push up the price, ie; nothing is rare if you have a bottomless pocket, & although I am an ardent 'big' cigar smoker I do miss my chance to buy & store the smaller vitolas that many many real cigaristas still love & could anyone name a small RG thats been 'tested' on the market lately......IMHO only..I do feel very strongly about this..but that's me!

I dont have bottomless pockets, so if you can show me where to get some french ERDM petit piramids at retail price im all ears.
There have been many REs under 46rg in the last few years.

Sorry but you are completely wrong about this matter. NONE of of the ELs has been used to test the market; AFAIK there is only one cigar that was first created as an EL and was later released as a regular, the Upmann Magnum 50. And as a matter of fact the EL from 2005 and the regular released from 2008 have nothing in common, the blends are completely different.

completely wrong? then you mention the magnum 50 (albeit different blend), what about the hoyo As (particulares?) and is the D5 not on the list as a standard release? thats from the top of my head, there may be others.
